  1. Everyone loses about 100 hairs a day. Sometimes during stress, we can lose more and longer hair is more noticeable that it''s falling out than with short hair.  However, if you really are losing your hair like crazy, then maybe thier is an undelying health problem. If that is the case, you might want to address a doctor and try to figure out what why.

Let me ask this... have you been dieting or has your diet changed?

both of these are good reason why your hair might be thinning and falling out.

  2. minimal hair loss for people with long or short hair is normal...depending on how much product you use in your hair EX(hairspray, gel, mousse) and how much heat damage you are doing to your hair with a blow dryer, flat iron, or curling iron it could be more prone to falling out, breakage, and major damage. There are several factors that can contribute to your hair loss such as poor diet, not enough exercise, not enough sleep and relaxation, stress, and not staying hydrated. My advice to you would be to  invest in some quality shampoo and conditioner with lots of proteins and vitamins such as biolage or henna humectress. Since hair is made of protein...try adding more protein to your diet. You can do this in pill or powder form or with meats, nuts, and beans. Also, try to supplement your diet with a vitamin E...this will not only be great for your hair but your skin and nails as well. One capsule a day with a full glass of water should do the trick. Some other options are using protein K packs...these can be purchased at your local beauty supply store...these are basically just packs of protein enriched conditioner that will nourish your hair. Try a hot oil treatment also. These are packed with nutrients...you can also do an at home hot oil treatment like i do. Just get a small bowl and fill it with OLIVE oil....it has to be olive oil...any other oils such as sunflower, canola or baby oil WILL NOT wash out of your hair. Put the bowl in the microwave for about thirty seconds or until it is warm...apply it to your hair from root to tip not drenching your hair but just rubbing it in gently trying to avoid the scalp(you dont want this oil clogging up your scalp pores) wrap your head in saran wrap and a hot towel(like just out of the dryer) and leave it on from thirty minutes to 2 hours depending on how much time you have. Olive oil has soooo many vitamins and nutrients that will make your hair stronger, healthier, and SHINIER! The best thing about this treatment is that it is inexpensive and it can be done as often as you like because there are no harsh chemicals being used. I swear by this treatment! Basically, you need to nourish your hair and your hair will thank you! Hope this helps!

  3. You can buy really cheap products at avon that works really well to make your hair stay in place. It's currently on sale and there's a free shipping special so go to http://youravon.com/ulam and click on the free shipping advertisement then type in hair in the search box and a whole bunch of hair products will come out.

  4. i dont think length makes a difference damged hair is damged hair no matter how long or short jus keep it healthy and try not to be stressed

  5. It is totally normal to be losing about 50 hairs a day.  If your hair is thick, there will be more.  The longer the hair, the more that you will notice the hair loss.  Don't panic!  Getting a haircut will not help with the hair loss, but it will make your ends look better.  The hair that you are losing is being replaced by a brand new hair.  Forget about it!

  6. hair falls out at ANY length. haircuts will not make a difference, but you should get them to keepy our hair healthy. you may be surprised, but you actually lose 100s of strands of hairs every day without knowing it. since your hair is longer, that's probably why you are noticing it more. it's long and visible.

if you're losing like PATCHES of hair, then see a doctor. otherwise, you're ok!!

  7. I have the same problem and I talked to my mom about it. Getting a haircut, or just a trim, will work since you're cutting off split-ends (if you have any). My mom said it's because our hair is weak, and you need to massage your scalp daily. Also try buying a strengthening shampoo. Another tip she gave me was not to wear tight and thick rubber bands because they are harsh on the hair. She also said to avoid heat damage (blow-dryers, straighteners, etc.) but that's something I can't do!

  8. uhmm..it doesnt matter if you cut it or not. u should go to the doctor to check it out.

  9. Your hair could be falling out like crazy because you're having too much stress or you're going through some changes in your body or for some different reason.
