My hair is getting too long, how short should I go?

I have an oval shape face and am petite in build. My hair is highlighted dark blond and it's just below my chest. I've had short hair, medium length hair, and long hair. I feel the best with long hair but I think it may be too long. Its thinner at the ends and so it just looks long and stringy. I'm a young professional and I want my hair to look professional but still fun and s**y. thoughts?

  1. get enough taken off the bottom to remove the stringy look.  then i would go for a few choppy layers, including some face framing ones.

  2. If you have an oval shaped face, go as short as you'd like! I wouldn't recommend going too short, since you said you feel the best with long hair. I would just maybe get a couple inches taken off of it, no more than three. That way, your thin, dead ends will be cut off which will take care of the stringyness. I'd also add some layers to your hair, having the shortest layers be about chin length. This hairstyle will be clean and professional, but also fun and s**y at the same time. And also with it still being long, it could be nicely curled with an iron, straightened, or even put up. Good luck!

  3. trim off the ends. the stringy look totally spoils your professional look. and layer you hair a little bit, up till maybe the armpits.
