  1. There are many different products out there that all work, more or less, and everyone has their favourites.

You should be asking your hairstylist about what to use for your hair.  You may have to use some sort of moisturizer, or wax, or oil which would coat the hair, and make it shine.

As for styling, have it properly cut by someone that knows how to do your kind of hair.  Not everyone knows how to cut all kinds of hair.  Then learn how to style your hair.  There are some tricks that would work especially for you.

  2. If your hair just recently started acting this way then check to make sure nothing you've been using in the past has changed.  What you need to do to make your hair feel like new is to buy a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup in your hair.  I am almost positive that your hair is not shiny because of build up in the hair.  It's residue.  Your hair will shine again.  Give it a few shampoos with it.  From then on only use it once a week.  Nutragena, pantene, etc.  they all make one.  Men always tell me they like pail mitchell tea tree shampoo and conditioner.  they will work well too.  Then use a stronger gel. Like got to be glue or wax don't use cheap gel like, la looks, get good stuff, it won't leave a big residue.  Have fun , hope I helped.

  3. although this might be weird for you, go and look at the garnier products that are hair masks that condition really well. i use it, and i have wavy course hair. use it twice a week in the shower, leave it on for 3 minutes or longer, and your hair will get better.

  4. Wow that's a long time to gel your hair. What kind of shampoo are you using? If you have been using the same shampoo for awhile it`s time to change. I recommend Biolage clarifying shampoo by: Matrix. You can find this at most salons. So you don`t have to drive all over town looking just go to the mall. Most malls have salons with beauty supplies. Not sure how you wash your hair, but from now one wash your hair twice every time you shampoo it. On your first wash mix your biolage with a 1/4 cup of baking soda and make like a paste. Shampoo your hair with that mix for about 2 minutes. It will feel a bit grainy but it will naturally remove build up you may have. Build up from gel and the environment. Then find yourself a good stylist you can trust and ask him or her to help pick a style for you. Ask your friends or sister mom anyone that has had the same stylist for awhile, and give them a try. Be patient you been wearing your hair the same for a long time so it will feel uncomfortablee to you for awhile, but give it a shot! Most of all give your new stylist a chance. Try him or herat leastt 3 chances. I hope I helped you GOOD LUCK!

  5. OMG - apart from the fact that im a girl - i have the same prob!lol! anyways heres what to do:

    1. wash your hair 2 -3 times a week with sunsilk shampoo and conditioner (you need the both of them to work together) have a look at the range in the coloured bottles and i know that ur a guy and u probably would buy the 1 variety of mens shampoo but really look at the womens ones and see which shampoo you are do this cuz they all rreallly work - miricle shampoo it is! lol!

    2. when u rinse ur hair rinse it in cold water - makes it really shiny!

    3. finish ur shower by runing throuh some garnier sleek and shine about twice a week. use this as a replacement for gel which can sometimes dry out ur hair. garnier sleek & shine styles well.

ok with all of that said - good luck and i hope everything works out for u.

  6. garnier fructis sleek and shine
