My hair is a dark brown color and it looks really oily and gross just one day after i wash it. I have been using *head and shoulders* I just bought *in(fus)ium* yesterday and used it today, so i dont know if it will be oily tomorrow or not.

I dont straighten my hair and i only curl it about once a month. And i dont put anything in it at all. No moose, no gel, no anything.

Im wondering if its just the shampoo i was using or if its of what i eat or something?

*THANKS

  1. Hey so my hair does the same thing if I don't blow dry it oddly enough. I have long hair that is very thick and frizzy if I don't apply heat. If I get out of the shower and do not blow dry my hair before it air dries... it ends up heavy on top and greasy very quickly. So if you don't already, try blow drying your hair right away, all the way.

If you can manage without conditioner try that too. Also, make sure you're getting all the shampoo &conditioner out when you bathe. They have the opposite effect on your hair and scalp if you leave any in.

I remember going through this too, so good luck! Keep your hands out of your hair too!

  2. no its not the shampoo, just shower everyday...its not that hard

  3. Get a different Shampoo, try something organic..shop around and Read the label of the brand. What type of hair is it for? Some are formulated for your type of hair needs: Relaxed, Colored, Oily, Dry, Coarse, Natural...

Wash your hair with warm water and rinse with warm to hot water..since you hair is oily the heat of the water will strip some of the oil out of your hair.

  4. It's probably a mixture of both. Head and shoulders is a shampoo product that's often aimed for people with dandruff; therefore, it probably has more conditioners, lotions, and oils. I'd suggest switching shampoos, maybe to Herbal Essences or a similar brand, that isn't geared for people with dandruff issues. Also, your diet plays a big part in how your skin and hair looks. You don't have to stop eating ALL junk foods, just tone it down a bit. If you eat a lot of sweets, try eating one sweet a day. Drink lots of water, and make sure to try and get most or all of your food groups in one day.

  5. it is both the shampoo and you (he he that rhymes) head and shoulder is directed to people like me (with dandruff) so switch to another shampoo (pantene works well) and wash hair every day until it isnt oily and then just wash once a week

  6. Start washing your hair every night instead of every other night.
