My hair smells like dye...?

i dye my hair like every 3 months and i cant stand the smell when its done (i use a box) and i just got out of the shower from rinsing it but is there anything i can do to get rid of the horrible smell because i cant shampoo it for 24 hours.?

that's normal .. when i dye my hair it takes 3 weeks for the smell to go away and i dont wash it everyday it's harmful

Why can't you shampoo it for 24 hours? The directions on box color is stupid...You don't have to wait...Color will fade no matter what. Shampoo your hair.

Shampoo it more than once (like three times) immediately after coloring it.

Does the directions specifically say no shampooing for 24 hours?

I shampoo my hair the next day to rid myself of that smell.

I know its not what you want to hear, but that smell is stronger than anything you can put on it to cover it up besides washing, unfortunately.  Try staying in a well ventilated area and keep your hair away from your face, its the best you can do until you wash it.  Maybe you can rub a fragrance under your nose before you go to bed too so you wont have to smell it when you sleep.

just shampoo it and then apply a hair mask.
