I only brought her 1 day ago and i have noticed the signs straight away. I adore hamster and have owned several. My longest living was 3 1/2 years so i expected to know all there could be however I have never owned one that got sick with wet tail.

  1. She should be fine. It is very common with young hamsters, and it has probably been caused from the conditions that she used to be kept in, or from other stressful factors (moving etc.)

What medical treatment is she on? Is it Batril? If you are really worried, you could try feeding her a pea-sized amount of pro-biotic yoghurt, as the antibiotics will knock her immune system down. The yoghurt will help her body work at its best.

She should be fine. Good luck!

  2. If you got her treated as sonn as you noticed it, then there is a good chance that she will be ok, it's when people leave it for days and they get real bad, thats when the chances start to go down. Well done for noticing it right away and getting help.

  3. this is very hard on a hamster, with proper treatment she should live
