A few days ago I realized my hamster had a tiny cut on the side of her nose. I've noticed she squeeks a bit but i've only got her quite new so i've probaly just realized now. She's eating and drinking fine but i'm just a bit worried about the cut. She's really active and keeps chewing on her bars. Shes really young. Should I take her to the vets??

  1. yes just incause cause it could get infected.

  2. It may just be from chewing on the bars - keep an eye on it and take her to the vet if it looks like it is not healing/infected. You could also call your vet to see if there is something antiseptic/antibacterial they'd recommend putting on the cut - but be sure to check with a professional. If you're really concerned, a check-up can't hurt, and since she's new (to you), it could be good to get a general health check-up.

It's great to see someone so caring for their little hamster friend! Too many people treat them like disposable pets.
