My hamster checkilist for tommarrow. Is this any good?please help me I want him to live.?

Ok so im getting my hamster tommarrow. :) So Im going to ask if this is ok.

What i have done so far to get ready for it:

Took apart the cage.

Soaked Each part in HOT!!! Bleach water for 5 minutes. (3 hours later)

Let the parts all air dry.

Put cage back together.

Put Conola oil on wheel gears.

Took a toilet roll and made it into a tunnel.

Things i need to get tommarrow:

Feeding bowl.

Aspen/Carfresh bedding. (I had pine before. i know its bad now)

Get some new food.

Buy some treats

Buy some Habitrail connectors to replace two bad ones.

(maybe an OVO cage)

Is this any good?^ PLEASE comment if not.

Question to ask the Pet store guy.

How old are these hamsters. (I want one between 2-4 months) 2 peferably.

Do you know if any of your hamster's have ever had wet tail before?

Are these hamsters in a mixed cage? (If so Im getting a male because i dont want a pregnent female)

Any other questions I should ask?

So tell me if this is a good list.

It sounds great. You should also ask if it has been housed with any sick hamsters, or if any have died already due to sickness, because if they have been they might have caught it.GOOD LUCK!!!! (you can really tell you want these guys to live)   best of wishes, dobsoct (a.k.a Madison)

HEY!! not all dwarfs bite. winter whites are real good hamsters. i wouldnt reccomend getting a robo, they r hard 2 handle :( ur checklist is perfect, and i think u shood get a habitrail ovo, i have one and u can make them huge, u can connect crittertrail parts to them :) good luck!!

sounds like a great list, my only advice is dont get a dwarf hamster! they are crazy and usually allways bite alot!
