  1. Hamsters are nocturnal, which means they are active during the night and asleep all day. If you want to play with your pet in they day, it is fine to wake him as long as you have a treat ready. Hamsters are desert animals, originally coming from Syria, so they do not drink much water.

  2. probably not

just if it stop drinking all together than taake it to a vet

    how ol is the hamster

do you clean the water every 2-4 days

    maybe its sick

    is it eating

  3. My hamster does the same lol

  4. Hamsters will sleep during the day and be active at night.

  5. Haha, You're funny! Just in case you haven't realized, hamsters wake-up when you sleep. That's why you always see him sleep, he is nocturnal, or whatever. You will hardly ever see him drink because he doesn't drink in his sleep. Unless you were to stay up all night. Did I mention he wakes-up when you sleep? Good Day Sailor.

  6. Check to see that the water is not clogged (if you use the bottle with the dripper).

  7. My hamster does that at times, I'm not really sure what it means, but you just have to leave him/her alone for a day, a couple days at most, and then he/she will be back to normal again, but it will drink alot of water once it's done in this phase, but that's just to make up for the water it didn't drink. Just don't hold it that much, also, since hamsters are nocturnal, see if it's drinking water in the night, like just before you go to bed. Nothing's wrong with him/her, but if he/she doesn't stop in the next week, take it to a vet. Good Luck!

  8. i doubt it my rodent doesnt drink much drink much and she is doing well. it'll drink when it wants it and it wouldnt be alive if he wasnt geting the nutrients it needs so i am sure you are doing just well as his owner. as far as the sleeping he probably isnt a very interjectic hamster. try to get it up and active like out side of the cage and playing with toys. spend lots of time with it and just be careful for bitting.

  9. He/she is ageing, there is nothing to worry about. OR  if your not changeing his/her water every day then you should. hamsters like fresh and cold water especaily in the summer, it keeps them up and cool.  Also he might be too hot, or too cold, if he is in drafts or by a window, then set his cage somewere else. Hope this Helps!!!
