My hamster got ahold of something blue, and is having a hard time breathing. what can i do to help him?

Hit him with a hammer.

If you can see it sticking out from his mouth, try to pull it out gently.  If not, open his mouth and if you can see it, use tweezers (gently..prefer soft rubber twwezers) and pull it out.

If not, try to give him heimlich with one-two of your fingers while he is on his side. Or grab his bottom end and hold him upside down, and do light downward thrusts and then attempt a gentle heimlich in this postion in between thrusts.  If none knock it loose or completely out... look in your phone book for a Vet that advertises emergency/24-hr care.  Call ASAP.
