My hamster started acting weird. He doesnt move around his cage as much since he escaped. He sits in a corner wide awake just sniffing around. He was gone almost 3-4hours. Could it be that he is just tired? Or is something else wrong with him? Please help!!!

  1. This isnt going to help but mabe he ate something he shouldnt have...when mine got out it landed in the sump pump and drowned...so keep a close eye on him, anyway if he ate something he shouldent have...(glass mabe) then i would take him to a hampster vet

  2. you should to go the store and get some medication for "wet-tail" they can get it when they escape they die fast, you need to do that....

  3. He probably wants to explore his cage since he got out?

  4. well it kind of depends, where did the hamster escape too, did you hamster eat anything it wasn't suppose too? My hamster escaped and was lost for almost more than half a day, and when we found her, she was behind the wall, where the insulin was, my hamster was just tired and scared. For your hamster just give it some time and still play with it. Give it treats so that it was brighten up. My other hamster also escaped for about 7 minutes and it came to me and when I took it back to it's cage it started acting weird, and then I just tried to condition it's behavior by giving it treats and she loves me again lol. good luck, don't worry about your hamster, if you worry then your hamster will worry just calm down and make sure it has freash food and water, also give it some treats.
