Today at 10:20pm I noticed that my hamster has a bald spot (I checked on the computer and it said it's a sign of illness) but my parents doesn't think it's an illness and wouldn't take it to the vet. Should I tell my parent that it needs to be taken to a vet tomorrow?

  1. If your hamster is losing fur than it is most likely going to be an illness such as skin disease or infection.  take your hamster to a vet and check it out.

  2. no hes probly just biting himself because he has an itch! try buying him /her chew toys because but if it looks serious then yes take him/her to the vet.

  3. Mine has that too. I think it's because she constantly bites the bars and has managed to rub it sore. Does your hamster bite the bars of its cage? If yes, then it's probably just a sore. Try putting some wood chews between the bars, it helps with mine. Otherwise, if it's very small, it's probably nothing to worry about.

  4. if your hamster has a bald spot send him to the doctor asap.

  5. i think that you should shave your entire hamster and then let the hair grow back naturally and evenly...trust me it worked for me
