My hamster had wet tail and died and i would like to get a new one but what do i have to do to the cage first?

my hamster died from wet tail today and i would like to get a new hamster but i dont what i should do to the cage wiether i need to disenfect it or just put a new hamster in it and how long to leave the cage ect

Whats wet tail?

Just clean the cage out with soap and water and put fresh sawdust in etc. thats what I used to do.
