My hamster has Diarrhea, & i don't know what to do.?

Im really new at this so I dont really know how he would get it, i fed him a carrot before i noticed the p**p all over his hands & testes. Im trying to figure out what i could do, i've rearched websites, but no help. Can you help?

My hamster had wet tail, and I got something called Dri-Tail for him. They should have it at a pet store. I've heard people say it doesn't work, but it worked for my little guy, so it's worth a shot. Also, keep your hamster hydrated. If he doesn't want to drink hold his bottle up to his mouth or use an eyedropper.

Maybe u should clean out the cage and then reduce its feeding if that doesnt work i would probably take it to the vet.

You need to take him to the vet right away.  Diarrhea is extremely dangerous in small animals like hamsters.  The vet will be able to prescribe a safe antibiotic for him.

Tonight, you want to make sure that he gets plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.  So, you can try giving him water through an eye dropper.  You can also try giving him unflavoured pedialyte, it's an infant hydrating formula that you can find in drug stores.  Keep him comfy and away from drafts.

i have had a hamster have that, its called Wet Tail. Its a sickness that can kill only hamsters. If the tail looks a little yellow and has the Diarrhea that means they have it. So i went to Petco and they said to feed it red cabbage.  Its really hard to have them eat it so take out anyother food. It works! :o) Hope this helps
