I'm leaving for a cruise in 2 days and I really dont want to leave her like this. I cant afford a vet, but i dont want to see her suffer. She's been limping and struggling. Sometimes, she would topple over. What's wrong???

  1. I would suggest taking her to the vet.  Sadly, many times there is nothing that can be done with a tumor.  Still, your hamster could live for quite some time.

I had several dwarf hamsters that developed them but nothing could be done.  It seems to happen with age I believe because that only happen on my hamsters who were over two years old.

  2. Your hamster will die for sure if you don't get her to a vet. Putting an animal down is only a small fee, if you choose to. My gerbil had a tumor like that, and he chewed at it so much he died. My second gerbil had to be put down because of the same reason. We tried medical help for the first hamster before it died, but it was too late. A waste of money in my opinion, because it made him worse than before. Sincerely sorry if I'm not making you feel better, but thats the truth of what happend to my pets.

PS To lift your spirits a little, hamsters topple a lot of the time, ill or not. No problem there at least...

  3. Let a friend watch her let her sleep and take her wheel out my hamster had the same problem and shes fine now just dont feed her that much the more you feed the more shell eat
