I have two Siberian Dwarf Hamsters. [both female]

I went to check on them today, make sure they had enough food and stuff.

I picked up one of them and I noticed she has a pea-sized lump on her stomach. Right next to her peehole.

I'm really worried! Is it a tumor?!! Should I take her to a vet?!

PLEASE HELP!!

  1. i would take her to the vet best b safe than sorry

  2. Sounds like it may be a tumor starting to grow - or possibly an abscess.

Female rodents are especially prone to mammary tumors, these are usually benign ( non cancerous ) and can be surgically removed by a vet if it starts to impede movement.

A trip to the vet would be the best thing now anyway, he can advise you of what to do and possibly start treatment if she needs it.

    Good luck! =)
