My hamster has a lump on his foot!

My russian dwarf hamster has a large lump on his back foot. It's a creamy yellowy color and takes up the whole top of his foot. It doesn't seem to be hurting him at all, and he's as active as ever. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow, but I'm concerned about what it might be. Does anyone have an idea?

  1. It could be cancer, or it could be just an abscess. But it is a certainly good idea that your taking him to the vet tomorrow. I'm sure your hamster will be fine. Please email me because i want to know how your hamster is doing. Hope this helps! :)

  2. crusty hampster cancer

  3. After I got over my disgusted convulsions, I thought maybe it was a wet corn pop that had gotten stuck to his foot.

Other ideas?  Maybe an abscess, or a cut that got infected and pussed out...

    ~Starts convulsing again~

  4. infection or it bit itself or maybe it is just a pimple.

  5. take him to a vet mine had that and just bit his feet off but that mite help him more

  6. i had a dwarf hamster which died a couple of weeks ago. but he had a lump in his ear and under him above the stomach area. i don't think they were yellow. more of a tan. but it did not stop him he was still active like yours. but i would notice that he would pick at it sometimes. it did not seem 2 bother him much. and after a couple of months they got really small. but they were still there. i did not take him 2 the vet tho. so don't panic it could be a tumor of some sort.
