My hamster has a ripped ear!?

My hammy Nibbles' ear split and I dont know what to do! It looks painfull but he pays no mind to it! What can I do to fix it? Thanks! I have three hammys and they all have their own cage!! PS: At first two were together but I seperated them because they started fightin!

Is the hammy's ear ripped right down to the base or only a bit? Either ways, you would have to take him to a vet so that based on how bad the rip is, the vet can either put a couple of stitches or bandage it until it gets better. Also if there is a bit of bleeding (which normally is rare in the ear area), he would need some antibiotics to prevent infection. So please rush him to the vet immediately.

If it doesnt look to bad you can put a little bit of neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment on it. Just apply it about 3 times a day and if in a couple days it looks infected take him to the vet. 2 of my rats got into a fight and Dumbos eyelid on the bottem was torn in too. It looked like it hurt and it was bad but not that bad. I called the vet and this is what they told me to do. They said if it looks like its getting infected just bring her in and we can give her some antibiotics. Good luck.

depends how bad it is but if you say it looks like it hurts ring and take him to the vet he will tell you what to do hope this helped
