  1. Uhh..

Do you want the most obvious answer?

Call/schedule an appointment with your vet.

  2. use saline solution (for contacts) and put it on a cotton ball and gently wipe the eye, also they make a boric acid solution (eye wash ) that  can be used.

  3. Sounds like the hamster has gotten something in it's eye, or a cold has set in. I suggest taking a clean wash rag soaked in warm water, and very gently wiping the eye. Then take boric acid solution, (they use it on babies eyes), and apply it to a sterile cotton ball, and wipe the eye. Contact a veterinarian, (I suggest contacting the pet store for a vet's name. {Perhaps the one you bought the hamster from} Also see what they say about your little hamsters eye. They're friendly folk!), about this and see if they have antibiotics.

  4. Hi!

Poor thing! It's better to make an appointment with your vet to avoid any complications ( the hamsters have poor eye sight, but this is compensated but their great smell and hearing).

I don't recommend you to treat him yourself because hamsters are very sensible and could have a bad reaction to the treatment. The vet is the most suitable for such thing.

If you can't make it to the vet then use some boric acid solution to gently clean the eye. Do not worry - this is not harmful for the hamster- my sister uses this solution on her one year baby and it's OK. Also, you might want to make sure that he doesn't have something stuck in his eye that could cause him pain.

Good luck and I hope I've helped!
