  1. jeze.... what type of cage do ya have??? lol.... if its hurting your hammy you NEED  a new case ASAP =]

  2. they sell these things, usually for dogs, it's like a spray and it makes everything you spray it on taste bitter. usually it's so dogs don't eat your furniture but i'm sure it'd work with your hamster.

  3. I used to have a gerbil that would do the same thing! she would climp up the bars to the top of my cage tho and start chewing away. When my sister first got her gerbil he came with a small cut on his nose in a day or so it formed a scab rodents heal very quickly, and soon after u could not even tell he was injured u dont need to do anything to it your hamster should be fine just make sure u dont touch his cut and he will make a full recovery, one thing you should do is make sure the bars arent colored with dye like on those new cages because that COULD make him sick so be very careful. if u have any further questions feel free to email me i hope i helped,

    Best of luck

  4. First of all you shouldn't let your hamster bite the bars. It causes brain damage. You can play with him more so he can stop. Biting bars usually mean boredom.

I think you should leave the scab. Since it's scab. Scabs are nature's band aid. Lol. But if you really think it's serious, take him to the vet!

    Hope this helps. =]

  5. They sell this spray for dogs  and cats you could try that or just buy in a new cage my cage is plastic because my hamster always use to chew the bars or just get more things he can chew like dog biscuits, toys i can't remember what their called but you know them things birds have them white things what comes from a fish my hamster has on of them.

  6. All rodents need to chew on tough objects to wear their teeth down as they grow continuously. I'd reccomend giving him some woody sticks from the yard for him to chew on. If he has something o chew on he should stop havin a go at the bars. Also, there are sprays you can get that you can spray on the bars to deter him from biting them, it makes it taste really bad. If there's no swelling or redness on the cut then I wouldn't worry bout it that much, especially if its starting to scab.

  7. i would buy a 10gallon aquarium. they cost 10 dollars and they would eliminate your problem. you can get them at walmart or petsmart.
