  1. This could be a sound of content, but it could also be a sound of her being annoyed. I would really have to listen to the sound. Maybe you could upload the sound onto Youtube.com, and I will be able to probably determine what your hamster is trying to express.

    Great!

E-mail me if you have any additional questions.

  2. are you touching near her "rear" if you are she might mistake for a male who wants to mate with her. Does she freeze up and put her tail in the air? If so this is why she makes that noise. Or maybe a sign of content. Or does she act aggressive or bite? Then she could annoyed.

    Good luck =)

  3. She could be bruxing which is when a rodent grinds it's teeth together rapidly. They usually do it when excited or happy.

  4. She's happy and content!

I provided a link of hamster sounds/behaviors and what they mean. I hope that helps!

  5. That is the noise a hamster makes when it's happy.

  6. She is definitely a very friendly, happy and content hamster. A hamster makes clicking sounds when you pick her up to show that she is very happy with the way you are handling her or happy with her play time outside the cage. So your hammie is a very happy hammie.

  7. This has happened to my hamster too. I looked it up and this is what I found.

It's not a bad sign, your hamster is just fine. It's just another sound (other than squeaking) that your hamster makes when he is surprised.

    Good Luck!
