My hamster is not drinking his water?

what should i do i think he doesn't know how to because he was born 4 days ago

Young hamsters usually begin eating solid food at 7-10 days of age but are usually weaned at about 3 weeks of age. Solid, pelleted food must be soaked to soften it and be placed on or near floor level of the enclosure for easy access by the weanlings. As mentioned above, sipper tubes must be positioned low enough so that the smallest pups can reach them. Some pups will not be strong enough to extract water from sipper tubes, so owners must be vigilant for this potential problem and provide an alternative water source for them.

                       Have you taken your baby hamster to the vet?   If not you should and they will help you. I so if that does not do anything you should try to give it water yourself.  hope that works!

If he was born four days ago, he's on mum's milk and doesn't need water. Duh.

He is only 4 days old and still a pup. He is still on his mother's milk and would not require water since he gets all his nutrition from his mother's milk which would also have water in it.

Until they are two weeks old, baby hamsters would be fully dependent on their mother's milk.

After two weeks, you would see them trying to eat some solid food and slowly trying to become independent of their mother. At this stage, leave a heavy dish of fresh water everyday in the cage so that the hamster can help itself to the water until it learns how to use the hamster water bottle. Also adjust the water bottle to the correct height so that the baby hamster can reach the sipper and always ensure a drop of water is hanging from the sipper so that the baby hamster gets attracted to it and learns how to drink water from the sipper of the hamster water bottle.

Baby hamsters can be completely weaned away from their mother when they are four weeks old.

tilt it at an angle that it drips out. soon, after he sees that it is a palce for water, he'll understand. you may want to feed him cucumbers instead, as a source for water. where's the mother? he needs milk, not water.

check his water bottle maybe it dirty or check its water to see if it doesnt have any bad odor,etc cause they like their clean fresh water          good luck also check if their isnt something stck in it that doesnt allow them to drink it
