My hamster keeps trying to escape?

i dont have one of those attachable tube things so i cant buy any of those tube things. i put her in a ball like every night or every other night. and i feed her treats and stuff and i usually play with her just using my hands for like 20 minutes a day and she still tries to escape. she starts chewing on the cage bars and climbs up them and when she gets to the top she tries to hang on the bars on the top but usually just falls off. shes living alone and she has a food dish water dish and a wheel in her cage. am i doing something wrong? why does she keep wanting to escape out, i have cats and im worried cause if she ever does, then shes probably not gonna be living.

I have the same problem, the only thing is that my hamster has 2 five day old babies and Im afraid that if she escapes the babies will die. She is a dwarf hamster and can easily fit between the bars.
