My hamster lives in her wheel and runs 24/7??

okay so i have a hamster but i cant play with her much cuz she is extreamly small and bites. and im afrain she will get loose and spend a week under my bathroom cabinates. anyways...i have this cage that i thought was really cool when i got it but the problem is that she runs 24/7 but she also lives in her wheel. all of her "stuffing stuff" and her food and her p**p and pee is in that wheel. and her wheel is on top of the cages so theres piles of seeds on the desk that her cage is on. i know that i have to get a new cage soon, but i really want to play with her cuz shes sooo cute!! but how can i let her go anywhere else in her cage??

omg. she's just feeling comfy in the wheel. there's nothing much you can do if she found comfort there. maybe you could try baiting her out with treats. or just place more food somewhere else. if she's new to the cage just let her be. she might feel very safe there. and try talking to her often. my hamster would come out from her hideout when i call her. good luck with that.

Most hamsters do this. It is very common activity. But if you want to spend time with your pet, just take her off the wheel. And at night you might need to remove the wheel or put her in a seperate room.

well, the less you handle her the less friendly she'll be. you have to hand tame her and she should stop biting. also, is there any way to take the wheel Out of the cage? or is it attached for good, like on some metal cages? if you can take it out, then do so and only put it back in maybe at night. and take her out more handle her

During the day, take the wheel out so you can play with her and she will have to p**p and pee some were else. At first she will be confused but she will adapt to the changes after a while. You can also add tubes on the sides so she will have something else to do with her time. And attached to the tubes,put a little room to p**p and pee. That way you will only have to clean the Little room insted of the whole cage.
