My hamster won't stop squeaking and biting the cage at night. How do I make her stop?

She only does it when I turn out the lights and am ready for bed. I have only had her for a week and I am already worried that she is going to bite her way out of her cage. Is there something wrong with her? Is this normal?

No there's nothing wrong with her, hamsters are nocturnal.

I had the same problem with my little hamster, Chai. Try getting one of those chew blocks at your local pet store..
