My hamsters a picky eater

Question

I hand picked the best things in the hamster food bag gave it to her put she did not want it whats wrong with her???

Ps. baby hamster got her at petco

i have a hamster, and all she does is eat.

some types of hamsters only like specific kinds of foods

3rd: how do u noe that shes not eating them?

some hamsters only eat when ppl r not watching them.  it makes them think that u r going 2 steal their food is ur staring at them the entire time that they r eating their food

she's not hungry or maybe she doesn't like the type of food ur giving her try and mix diffrent types of food you give her.

My first suggestion: Don't pick things out of the food. They might like the things that you're taking out.

Second: Get pellets instead. Then you have one type of food packed with everything they need. This is the healthiest option.

I just got a  9 week old hamster and she wouldn't eat for awhile or at least she didn't eat in front of me. The car ride home really stresses out the hamster so she/he is going to be afraid of you for awhile. Leave her/him alone for a week with calming music on. Hope this helps.

you may want to try and give her fruits and veggies, then slowly introduce seeds and the normal grains into her diet. She will eventually start eating the seeds. Just remember, not all the hamsters like all the seeds and grains.

Ps. Don't ever buy a hamster from petco again. The breeders they get the hamsters from, inbreed their hamsters to get the different colors. And they don't take the time to educate their employees.

Maybe it is not used to the food that you got her yet. The pet store may have given a different brand. Unless she wasn't eating well there also. Or probably she prefers fresh foods? But don't give her too much or it'll get diarehhea. I hope that your hamster feels better! And again, I hope this helps.

When she is hungery she will eat. A hamster don't eat a whole lot.
