My hardwood floor is stained with permanent marker. How to remove the stain?

It's about a 1 foot square black stain, on a light hardwood floor. My son's school drawing fell on the floor , then got wet, and the black permanent ink soaked into the floor.

  1. color over with a dry erase marker and then use a swiffer cloth to wipe it up.


  2. did u try the Mr. Clean Magical Eraser? I love those things. they work a lot of the time. hope that helps ya ^^

  3. definitely try the magical eraser! don't do rubbing alcohol that will seap into the wood. other wise sand it down and re stain with clear coat

  4. rubbing alcohol works, also try goo gone
