well idk because i can still watch movies and play my video games?

does it need to be replaced cause i can still watch tv

  1. A stressing lamp may cause the ballast (lamp driver) to become faulty, It's recommended you replace the lamp as soon as you can afford it (they are expensive). A ballast is not so expensive - but if you want to avoid extra costs, I recommend replacing it ASAP.

    These lamps have ratings of anywhere between 3,000-10,000hrs, but can fail at any time before or after this time. Contact your local repair agent, they may be willing to give you the code to reset the hours to remove the message (although, for the sake of the TV's usage records it's advisable not to)


  2. no, you're just being reminded that your lamp is getting towards the end of it's estimated life. Recommend you clean the air vents and filters tho.

  3. When the project lamp burns out, you will not be able to use the TV. Some TV models have a timer in them and will tell you when they think the lamp is going to burn out. Obviously this is just an estimate and your has not yet failed. This is why it says to "reset lamp settings". It is telling you to replace the lamp and reset the timer.
