What color runner should I use for an outside wedding, I bought white but my dad said that would clash with my white dress. The chairs are a wood color, and bridesmaid dresses are sage and tuxes are either beige or chocolate. HELP!!!

  1. use the one you bought !!

white goes with everything including the Dress/ flowers

Dad is trying to be helpful - give him something else to do !

  2. I think a neutral beige or tan  would work fine to blend into nature and not call attention to itself.  Also, I like the idea of maroon or burgundy for a toned down "roll out the red carpet" effect.  I don't think white would "clash" with the dress, but I think you're better off with a different color to offset it--also it's good idea to chose a color that won't show dirt from people walking on it.

P.S.  I completely know what you mean about your hurting from wedding planning!

  3. maroon or burgandy, you cant go wrong with these

  4. I don't see how white clashes with...white.  You could find sage or chocolate ribbon or lace and edge the runner, though, to add a little color, but only if you want to!

  5. I would stick with the white. Runners are normally white and I am sorry if someone decides to compare your dress next to the aisle runner then they have issues.

I wouldn't buy another. Besides if petals are going to be thrown for you to walk on you may not be able to see them depending on your colors for flowers.

  6. I must be really retarded because I can't see how a white runner will clash with a white dress. I say you stick with white. This way you can use whatever color flower petals you want and they will look pretty on it.

  7. Sage and Chocolate. I would go with chocolate!

I'm a bride and my head hurts too!

You have a great dad if he is willing to give opinions. Listen to him and then do what you want!

  8. I'd go with maroon, that will look really nice with everything else

  9. I would go with a dark red, maroonish color. It would look beautiful with the sage and brown and will make your dress stand out. Good luck!

  10. I would stick with white if you've already bought it. It will look very elegant and shouldn't really clash. It is a wedding after all! In fact, any other color may not look great when the bridesmaids walk down the aisle with sage dresses.

It really is a neutral color that works well with what you have already chosen.

If you're still confused, what I would suggest you do, is go to a linen rentals company to see their swatches of fabrics as they usually have wonderful combinations and can advise you further.

    Hope this helps!

    Good luck!
