My headphones went through the washing machine while in my pants accidentally, are they still ok to use?

They still look perfect and work perfectly. And they are completely dry. Is there anything I should be concerned about, for example risk of short circuit. (There is absolutely no water in there at the moment, they went through the dryer too ;-)

  1. headphones have a diaphram. in the small ones that would fit in a pocket, it is usually plastic or metal, so it is probably no worse for wear. the dryer cycle would be more apt to cause catastrophic damage, as plastics start to deform at about 140 degrees F and a dryer can get much hotter than that. funny as it sounds, the larger the headphones, the more likely it is to have delicate, easy to damage parts.

  2. Great. Its a perfect wash.

As long as it is singing, its working well. Water can't go inside the headphone. They are perfectly sealed. All you have to worry is that the wires may have been weaken and so your headphone's life is shorten. I hope not.
