Question:

My health is being neglected?

I'm 15, and my health is pretty much being neglected by my parents..

I need to know what to do about this.

I haven't been to a dentist in 6 years - I have had cavities for 4 years, and they wont allow me to go to a dentist to get them fixed. I have problems in my knee, which was a big problem around 8 years ago, which thankfully they let me see someone about at that time, but now it's come back - it's a disease that leads to arthritis and they wont let me see anyone about it.

I have severe acne, which im not allowed to do anything to fix it. I have unexplained headaches daily. I've got aching bones, and i often get cramps. I get chest pains in heat.

Yet, i don't live close enough to a doctor to walk to one, and i don't have neighbors i get along with to do that for me. I live in a small town.. I would earn money so i can see a doctor myself if i could get driven there - but there's no jobs available. I've tried talking to my parents over and over about this.. I need to see doctors, it's been such a long time and im worried about my health. Please help?

  1. You could actually call the police and tell them you are being neglected health wise, it is your parents responsibility to take care of you.  If your family doesn't have the money to take you to the doctors there are different governmental agencies that will pay for all of that for you, but someone needs to know that you need help first!

Also, if the police can't do anything about it, they can refer you to someone who can.

  2. I would contact a relative immediately and tell them, being that they are family they should do something about it.
