My height is 190cms and age is 20. Can I become a pilot???

I Will be finishing my BE(EEE) degree by apr 2009...

I got a information tat I am too tall to become a pilot... Tat's Why I asked...

Also can anybody provide the details such as selection criteria,Eligibility and Cost reqd to take pilot training????

  2. I don't get your question?? you have a normal height and you are of normal age... what has that got to do with becoming pilot?  Aviation is not mere army recruitment where they will take you just because you are tall..

    lets talk about brains here tell me what are your qualifications so far??

    Don't worry your height won't affect your dream.. I have some friends who are your height and they are all flying... at most the class 2 medical examiner may ask you to go for a cockpit test where you'll have to sit in a trainer's cockpit and demonstrate that you can reach all controls correctly.. I am 187cm and my medical examiner felt the need to send me for the cockpit test however I have a friend who is just 5'4" and his examiner did not ask him to go for cockpit test (depends on examiner).. Also a word of advice, it is better to finish your BE before you start flying.. if you leave it midway to enter aviation it will give a bad impression to airline people when they interview you
