My hermit crab came out of his shell and after keeping him moist for 3hrs he went back in his shell?

he is yellow and will not drink or eat. He went back in his shell after three hrs of keeping him wet. now what do i do. HOW CAN I HELP HIM?

You didn't say how old he is, or how long you've had him, but maybe he's outgrowing his current shell? It's possible he could be "looking" for a bigger shell. You can get these at most pet stores just leave it in his environment with him, if he needs it, he will switch.

He is just molting so relax its normel and it will be fine. He will most likely eat at night  so it is ok.

Try putting if it does it again put it in a jar with its shell so it will go in
