My hermit crab hyas been molting for about 2 weeks now when are they done or how do you know??

I am worried he looks dead but i cant tell .........

when mine did that a few days later they died... so if they are not moving or anything i would say its dead....

Well, the crab will dig up and hopefully live.

WHat you SHOULD do is have him in his own tank until he starts acting normal. He will be normal when he looks like he did before.

When he digs up he will look pale and have alot of blonde hairs coming out and really sharp nails. When he comes out, let him go into a SMALLER shell, as when they are "fresh" they are smaller.

You know your crab has died when he has fallen out of his shell, not moving, and it smells like dead fish.

ANother thing is to keep his shedded exoskeleton as he needs to eat it to regain lost calcium.
