My hermit crab is chriping and is tapping on the cage glass.?

  2. You will need to deep clean the cage, either replacing or sterilizing everything inside to get rid of the bugs because they possibly laid eggs and f***s.

    It could be your crab is just trying to climb or keep walking and doesn't realize that it is glass and he won't get through - you could take him out and let him crawl around.

    Does he have buddies in there? They are social creatures.

    Is the temp and humidity at 70 degrees and 70 % at least? They need this to breathe properly, as they have gills..

    The substrate should be deep enough that he can dig down and cover himself completely.

    He also needs a source of fresh and salt water and the water must be dechlorinated...
