I warm up for 15 minutes before each run and stretch before and after each run for at least 20 minutes. To day I paced myself well and only the right one hurt.

L can you help?

  1. Maybe you have an imbalance or are not standing up straight when you run. Get someone to observe your running style if you have had your running shoes under a year they shouldn't need replacing unless you are  a top athlete running more than 120 miles each week.

  2. you should replace your running shoes every 300-500 miles

  3. you could also have something that i have,... its called snapping hip syndrome...   search it up in google... see if you fit the symptoms...

  4. It might not be your trainers - they have most effect on your knees. If they are old (a year or so) or you have run a long way on them (300+ miles) then maybe it is time for a change.

They couldl hurt with your running style or not resting for a day or so once a week (overuse) - lots of other causes too.

  5. its good you warm up and stretch um the only thing i can think of it when your running try to run with light feet dont make loud noises when you run and when your running try to run toe to heal. so dont run flat footed or heal to toe it works♥♥

  6. it is probably your shoes

    time for a new pair

  7. The best way to find out if you need new runners is go to a running store and wear the shoes you run it and have the staff analyze your shoes...they will be able to tell by the wear pattern and compression wrinkles at the outside of your heels.  Once your runners expires, even though they still look good, the support for your feet is gone.  The staff at the running store will also analyze your feet/gait/under-over pronation and make sure you are fitted into the right pair of shoes.

If its not the shoes, it could be that you may be over striding, take shorter steps as you run (and get higher candence - higher leg turnover rate, this will help with speed also) and this will relieve any pressure off of your shins and knees, which in turn will help your hips.  Do some core strengthening exercises to build a stronger core will help your hips.

IF you run on the road, on the side (camber-there is a slant)

this could aggrevate your hips as well.  Run on trails or change sides of the road so its not always the same side.

Good luck and train smart :)
