My history stopped showing up..the stuff from this morning I looked at is in my history but nothing since?

which is at least 40 searches//is there a way to make it show up again without deleting my history as I need to keep my earlier searches on there. I am using firefox (google and sometimes yahoo search engines

why did it stop showing up

the only thing I can think of it to clear the history and see if the problem persists..also go to tools options and see if you can find anything wrong with the settings.
