  1. My outside AC clogs up when the cotton wood tree's shed.  Have to clear out the coils.  I remove what I can then run the hose from the inside out.  You might be low on refrigerant too.  How was it cooling before the freeze?

  3. The leading causes are low refrigerant levels, dirty ac filters, dirty fans, and dirty coils.

Change the filters, clean the inside fan blades, clean the coils (inside and out) and then see what happens. If it still freezes, call the repairman.

  4. low on freon besure to get a leak test done and run the fan only so that if there is a leak the tech can find it

  5. She's froze up.Run the fan ONLY for 30 minutes to clear the ice.Check your filter. When the coil thaws, check the coil with a flashlight for restrictions. Then run it after the 30 minutes as normal and she'll start to cool.If it continues to freeze up she could be low on refrigerant or the blower could be running on the wrong speed or the metering device may not be feeding properly.  Good luck.
