  1. Radon is mostly found in granite formations.

    Caves are mostly in limestone.

    Not to worry.

  2. Radon comes from decaying granite.  If there are no granite deposits in your area you are probably ok.  If in doubt have it tested.  If your home is built over a cave I would be more concerned about being able to sell it.  Many lenders are hesitant to make loans on homes where there is a potential for a cave in.

  3. Possibly.  Radon test kits are pretty readily available and not too expensive.

  4. The potential for radon varies a lot from one area to another. You likely can search and find some information about the likelyhood of radon in your area.

  5. Naaaaaaaaa.......if it did it wouldn't hurt you........now that cave is interesting to me.........I like the sound of that.....you got a lab or anything fun down there??? I've always wanted to build a house over a creek with glass floor area's and watch the fish swim by.......

  6. i don't think so i think you should be safe

  7. Always better to be safe then sorry. Do a radon test once a year will be more then okay. As for selling your home, you should not have any problems from lending stand point as long as there are other homes in the area. If you have the only house in the area then maybe. Also as long as the cave has no record of shriking in size due to time, the city/county records must have records that measure the ground every 10 years. Good Luck

  8. There's only one way to find out, get a kit to check if the place is radioactive gaseous element infected.

  9. THERE SURE IS THAT HAPPENED TO MY BROTHER-N-LAW..GOSH SO SAD
