Question:

My home phone Number is labeled "Restricted" on other peoples phones??

Its so annyoing to be concidered "Resticted" when i call people. How can i possibly show up on caller id when i call someone?

  1. mine does that too. but i think you can call your phone company and change it b/c i think that's what my parents did


  2. Normally, your number will be delivered on all calls but you may withhold it for one particular call by dialing a service code before the number, most often *67 (if you are in the United States).

    However, it is possible to have your line configured to block the display of your number by default, and it sounds as though this is what is happening in your case.  With blocking set as the default, you can usually release your number for display on a per-call basis by dialing another code before the number you are calling, typically *82 (although it may be different in your area).

    The default configuration of your line is usually set at the phone company.  If you want to revert to the normal situation where your number is displayed unless you explicity withhold it, call your phone company's customer service number to have the default setting changed.

  3. You have a blocked number.  Mine is.  It says "private caller"when I call  someone.  Whoever set up the phone service requested it.  If you want to reverse it you need to call tehm and change it to unblocked.

    If someone has a feature on their phone that does not allow blocked calls I have to dial *82 or something like that.
