My home theater system only produces sound out of 1 speaker on TV but all work on movies. How do I fix?

I have TiVo and Satellite hooked up , I believe everything is hooked up correctly, how can I get TV to give me surround sound like the movies?

  1. Connect digital out from satellite set-top box to digital audio in receiver. Make sure you output in DD (not PCM).

    Not all channels broadcast in 5.1. all the time but at min. you should have stereo.
