Question:

My homepage and other pages look different?

My homepage and other pages have gone all big and a bit fuzzy looking! It looks like how you'd expect an old computer screen to look like and i need to scroll across to read the whole page.

My son has been playing games on the cbeebies website and only really uses the arrow keys and space bar so i think he may have pressed something like the ctrl or alt buttons? Any ideas how to get it back to normal?

I went on aol live help and she was telling me to go on internet explorer and change the font size but its not that!

Can anyone help please?

  1. It sounds to me like your Monitors Resolution has been changed to a setting that it cannot produce.

Right click your mouse on the desktop.

    A dialog box will appear.

    Go to Properties.

This will bring up a Display Properties box.

Click on the tab that says Settings.

Change the resolution with the slider on the bottom left.

Most computers are set to either 800x600 or 1024x768

  2. Try first a simple computer > Restart

If this fails to solve your problem, then try this:

Start>Accessories>System Tools> and then Restore back to the date previous to the problem, then Restart

This way you are troubleshooting with a clean slate

Note, this does not remove documents, but basically resets your Registry Keys back to a previous date

  3. You need a Wheel Mouse for this one...

In the middle of your Internet Explorer Window, hold down the CTRL key and Scroll the Wheel on the Mouse. The size will get bigger or smaller depending on which way you scroll the wheel.

  4. Have you tried changing the screen resolution?
