  1. anti virus and internet security programs have features to protect changing of homepages. Most likely you have set it up to not allow change. Also if you have Google toolbar they havea feature to not allow changing of the home page from Google.

What is your homepage set to?

  2. run a few ad-ware and spy-ware programmes, then download fire-fox and use,

  3. you've been hijacked.  try using http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/y.  I also recommend you to use http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

    instead of Internet explorer.

  4. the dude is right.  check the norton antivirus options.  there's a homepage protection box which you'll need to uncheck - that is most likely the problem.
