My honors Global teacher has no idea how to word her questions. Help me?

Question

She wants us to write an essay about how the six essential elements of geography affect our life in our city. The definitions of the elements are so freaking narrow and the city is so tiny, I honestly don't get how I'm supposed to link any of the elements to the city in more than one sentence. Help?
