i was laying on my bed a few minutes ago watching tv in the dark, when out of the corner of my eye, a spider came down from the ceiling on it's web, and landed right in front of my face. i had no means of escape, so i threw my blanket at it and ran out of the room screaming bloody murder. i have no idea where it is and i am terrified to sleep in my bed. ugh!

and now the question, what is your most creepy/scary spider or bug encounter? this one definitely goes up on my list as one of the worst.

  1. I was biking through a path in the woods once and a fly flew up my nose and I never saw it come back out.  That was pretty gross.

  2. when i fell in the grass with a lot of slugs

  3. When in college one of the guys down the hall raised tarantulas.  He enjoyed placing one of his tarantulas on your shoulder from behind you.  I like spiders and insects but this was a bit much even for me.  He stopped doing it after one student threw his spider down 4 stories.

  4. Haha, god, i know, i hate it when that happens!  I have had way too many scary spider moments for one lifetime, and nobody in my family understands!  I just recently had a really scary encounter with one of those really big centipedes with super long legs.  I tried to trap it in a cup but I accidentally cut off two of its legs.  The bug ran away, but its legs kept twitching for like a half an hour!  VERY creepy!!

  5. I was living in Paraguay when a tarantula decided to move in.  It worked out well because all of the other insects disappeared and it pretty much kept to itself.  One morning while making coffee I felt something plop on my head, unmistakably tarantula size.  I flicked my head forward hoping to fling it off but it clung to my hair and was swinging in my face.  That was when I started screaming.  I finally batted it away with my hand.  The next day it moved out.  I may of offend it somehow.

  6. i was sleeping and a spider landed on my cheek and i thot it was just my imagination so i tried to ignore it. but then i felt it again and i smacked my cheek lol and there were guts all over my hand =[

  7. When I still lived at home, my room was in the basement.  My sister and I slept down there in a double bed.  I was lying my head on my pillow, when suddenly I felt this tickling on my eyelid, I rubbed my face into my pillow, thinking it was just a stray hair that had gotten in my eye.  And SPLAT!  Squished spider on my face and into my pillow.  I screamed and my sister freaked out and ran to turn on the light.  I kept screaming since the light switch was across the large room in the basement, thinking it an eternity for her to just turn on the light, and she looked at me, and saw the squished spider on my face and started screaming too, I was freaking out because I saw some of the legs on my pillow, and STILL MOVING!! EWWWWWW!  I ran to the bathroom and as I did my sister threw the pillow off the bed and at me, and she speedily got out of my way.  It was SOOOO GROSSSSS!!!

  8. once i was shopping and i had to pay when i was searching thru my purse i found a spider........... key chain

  9. OMFG NO ONE WILL BEAT THIS.

i was at my aunts house, leaving, and we go down her outdoor steps and my mom points at this spider, its body was like as big as a quarter, and its legs were pry like an inch long, so it was pretty big. she goes "and you think we have spider problems!" and proceeds to step on this spider. i would have just left, for fear the spider might touch my foot when i went to step on it, but no. she steps on it.

    ITS FLIPPIN FILLED WITH BABIES!

as soon as she steps on it, it bursts open and hundreds of little babies come running out. its the scariest thing i have ever seen in my life. ever.

  10. I felt bad about killing one so I caught it in a plastic cup to release it outside.  There was a bit of a breeze, but I didn't think anything of it, but when I released the spider the breeze brought it back towards me.  Needless to say a screamed like a little girl and freaked.  Now I have no qualms about killing them.

  11. I walked through some kind of tick nest and ended up with over 1000 of the little buggers all over me.  It sucked.  I hate ticks.
