my horse has a hard time keeping hoods on. he either rips them or somehow gets them over his eyes.

only one type worked. a hood with ears. but i just bought one without one off ebay and have finally come to the decision that i wont buy unless its a hooded one with ears..

anyway, does anyone know of any rugs that have worked for their tricky horse??

and where to find one!!!

  1. if you find a hood with ears you can copy the pattern and even add your own personal touch.

  2. try sewing on extra ties or whatever onto the hood and securing it closely to the headcollar rings.  Other than that, possible he just cannot and will not tolerate them and he will have to go without.  I presume he must have a summer sheet on too and the hoods go down to his chest.  Try sewing tapes to the bottom end and some how securing them to the chest strap and circingle.
