  1. Matt is correct if there is red clover in your pasture they will drool so much water that you are sure they sprung a leak. It is truly gross, but harmless. My horse dropped it on my back while I was grooming him. That is definitely worst than seeing it drop on the floor.

usually if the horse has a reaction to horse spray she will show signs like hives or heat where she rubs the itchy places.  I do not use fly spray so much, only when I'm wanting to work with them or need them to stand still for the farrier or vet. If they can get into a dark place the flies will leave them alone.EM

  2. personally, i don't know. what kind of horse spray did you use? i would ask a professional, and if you're really concerned. CALL THE VET!!!! don't ask on here if you think it is really that important.

  3. Has she done this in the past?  Do you have clover around?  If yes, it is possible that she has gotten into clover.  Not sure what you mean by spitting, but drooling is a sign they have eaten clover, which is fine.  If your horse looks lethargic, does not have an appetite, or otherwise is acting abnormal, call your vet immediately.
