  1. look in the instruction book

  2. Hi, how are you monitoring the temperature ? What have you set the thermostat dial to ? Remember lowest number is warmest and highest is coldest.

Most fridges have an off cycle defrost, meaning when the required temperature is reached the compressor is switched off by the thermostat and won't restart until the evaporator warms to a certain temperature. So if your monitoring the temp you may see a wide fluctuation.

If the fridge reaches 2 to 5 degrees centigrade it wont be a refrigerant gas problem. Any loss of gas is usually results in the fridge never reaching the required temperature.

If it does get to 2 to 5 c and then jumps to 20c I would be looking at the thermostat.

    Good luck

  3. Looks like the gas at the back of the fridge has run out. Best thing to do is call a local fridge/freezer repair man out. He'll check and refill it for you. Good luck

  4. Sounds like a thermostat problem to me - call a fridge repair person

If it was a gas problem it would not work at all

A website for you which may help, assuming that you live in good old aussieland

  5. As stated by the previous answer--er, it seems that that the "-cooling -gas" has  escaped over time.

You may have to get the gas refilled.or retire the fridge -sadly??

or your thermo-stat has given up the ghost?
