  1. unplug it from the wall and pc flip the red switch that changes the voltage and then flip it back and plug it all back up...should work...might have to check the power supply to see it contains a fuse that you need to replace....it the box that the cord plugs into from the wall....take apart the shell and look at the coil, it might have a fuse that you can pull out and replace or even a breaker switch....

  2. Call your home insurance company. I used to do this... I would go to a person home and evaluate their computer after a storm.  IF the computer would require more than $150 to repair, I would recommend purchasing a replacement.

Approach getting it fixed if the insurance company turns you down.  Most likely the power suppy or motherboard.  Each are about $50 bucks.

  3. power supply, prolly 50 bucks, i worked as a computer tech for 3 years, and after a big storm last year I relpaced over 30 in a day.

    Cheers

  4. I'm sorry to say this but i think your motherboard is fried.  The EXACT same thing happened to me a couple years ago, i was stupid and didn't use a surge protection board for my computer.  If the power does'nt come on then the powerbox is dead (PSU), which is cheap to replace.  Unfortunately a new motherboard will set you back quite a bit.
