My house has a ridiculous amount of spiders in it?

How can I get rid of them?

When I moved into my girl's place, I did a total house sweep top to bottom. We found tonnes of the d**n things. It seems as if just throwing out the old stuff and cleaning out any webs made them go away...no more hiding spots.

If your place is tidy, maybe time to call a pro.

First of all, in summer, a lot of bugs will come indoors, just as they will come inside during the late fall, early winter.

If you have a "ridiculous amount of spiders", they you probably have a major bug problem. Spiders only live where there is food.

You need to clean up, especially the kitchen, making sure there are no crumbs, scraps, or other food left laying around. You can should also treat the foundation, doorways, windows, and baseboards around your house with Bayer or ortho home defense insect spray, which will kill both insects and spiders. if you have a really bad spider problem, treat the room corners, ceilings, and the rafters in your basement or crawl space as well. Spray around any openings in your home, such as dryer vents, AC pipes, around showers, toilets,  etc.

This should help get the problem under control.

I kill spiders that come into my living room, bathroom or bedroom.  Other than that I let them alone.  They eat the ants and any other bugs that come around.
